Abstract
The use of acrylic resin teeth has gained considerable favor during recent years in Kcrea. But very little is known about the physical characteristics of the resin teeth produced in our country, so we have studied about their properties with other countries products. Six brands of acrylic resin teeth i purchased in April 1966 were examined. It was not purpose of this study to compare ;¢¥brands. The properties of materials which were studied include the difference in hardness, indentation resistance and percentage recovery. The preparation of sample for the tests was made occording to the K.D.A. specification for acrylic resin teeth. The tests for hardness, indentation resistance `and rcovery also were conducted according to the specification for resin teeth.
From the experiments we obtained as the follows.
1. The average HRC for the six resin teeth was found to be 57.36.2 Kg/mmz,with a minimum ,¢¥O~ of 49.53.7 Kg/mmz and a maximum of 68.58.5Kg/mm2.
2. The analysis of six resin teeth shows the average indentation resistance to be 0.103 mm with F¢¥ extremes of 0.058 mm and 0.237mm, and the percentage recovery to be 83.3 percent with r extremes of 80.0 and 91.6 percent.
3. It was observed that the Elephant resin teeth possesses some what greater indentation resistance as well as the other resistance value, but the HRC values showed the lowest than others.
